The research aims to contribute by design to the use of parts of food that are wasted because they are culturally rejected in Portugal. Exploring qualitative research methodologies, through literature review we studied and problematized, in the context of the subject under study, the concepts of activist design, sustainability, food waste, Mediterranean diet and Food Design. Through an exploratory graphic exercise, the introductory project “All you can eat” was developed, which consisted of a campaign to enhance the fruit peels that are normally rejected in Portuguese gastronomic culture in order to demystify the nutritional value of these foods considered, by many people, to be waste. Through action research, a sensory experience was developed with orange peels and “Kitchen Laboratories I and II”, which culminated in the development of the fermented preparation OrangeBee, a food product resulting from the multidisciplinary work shared between Design and Food Biotechnology. This product is part of the organoleptics of the Mediterranean diet from by-products of national industries, and was created to be sold in large commercial areas, which implied a study of market trends, the development of the brand and packaging, the development of its communication and dissemination, and marketing and economic plans. The results we obtained with the validation of the product allowed us to conclude that it is possible to contribute, by design, to a beneficial diet for people's health, which is both sustainable and with reduced environmental impact, through the use of food as a whole, both industrial level, as well as the dissemination of these habits at the domestic level. In this way, value is added to flavors already appreciated in Mediterranean culture, not forgetting their origins. It is a campaign to enhance the fruit peels that are normally rejected in Portuguese gastronomic culture. Nescafé needed to grow its brand awareness and encourage the online purchase of its products. We changed the problem statement from a business perspective to a customer-centred one, with the aim to create a personalised shopping experience. After researching the brand and its target group, and making an online sourvey with 95 people from different backgrounds, we delivered the following outputs: - A pop-up store where people can relax and test the different instant coffee products according to the recipes that are shown, mainly created to bring possible customers closer to the brand; - A personalised experience for people to find the coffee that fits them the better; - A monthly subscription plan designed to retain the user and grow online sales. The four buttons in each object can be pressed by both humans and orangutans. When you insert a coin, it will allow you to challenge the monkey to a game of mimic. If you press one of the buttons the same one will light up on the other object. One of my favorite dishes is veggie soup, I could literally eat it everyday nowadays but it wasn't always like that... when I was a child I thought I didn't like soup and I was really stubborn to eat it. As the project proposal gave us a lot of freedom, I thought it would be interesting to illustrate the soup recipe in a less literal and funny way so that it becomes more appealing to children.&nbsp;Inspired by the visuals of EYEYAH, a Singaporean social enterprise that&nbsp;uses the power of creativity to teach children social issues, I developed my illustration based on strong colors,&nbsp;thick outlines and funny scenarios of living vegetables and messy cookers,&nbsp;simulated on the size of a double-page magazine. The recipe is in the wisdom of our grandparents, and we believe that it should not be forgotten. As a attempt to start selling it in commercial establishments and available to everyone, we attributed the name which will be recognized, that is eternally linked to St. Martins and the year that he was born.
