Group work with Ana Oliveira

This project was created with the aim of creating new sustainable materials for single-use takeway food in festivals, made from the cellulose of food waste that we founf in the north rhine-westphalia, a region in Germany that is rich for its cosmetics, agriculture and pharmaceutical industries.

We interpretated the way bioplastics are made and adapted, in a kithen-lab environment, the recipes and methods to the waste materials we got from coffee shops and restaurants: corn starch, banana peels, coffee grounds, pistachio shells and egg shells.

This projects reflects about the importance of Design to shape a better future based on sustainable systems and the zero waste concept.
